Hi there! My name is Jody! I am a wife, mama, and own the Fabric Shoppe! I love to find BEAUTY in EVERYDAY life! I hope to inspire you here with fabrics, tutorials, recipes, and crafty inspiration! Stop back often and enjoy!
She finally made it! We didn't know if this day would ever come! We went into the hospital on Sunday evening and Sophia was born on Monday morning at 11. She was 8 lbs 4 oz and 19.5 inches long! We were surprised by her really long dark hair. The nurses liked brushing her hair all wild so she had daddy's hair do the first day in the hospital!
A few favs this week from flickr. Can you tell what is on my mind? At our appt on monday the dr says we may have some time yet because i haven't progressed any. But she won't let us go more than a week past our due date! So if nothing happens then we will be induced by the 30th. I am a bit miserable, i can't really move at all towards the end of the day! I hope it doesn't go quite that long and we get to meet our little one soon!
I love these headbands that Jenni from Girleegirl designs! She bought a scrap pack from the store and was able to cut at least one headband from each of the fabrics. I am going to have to get a few of these for after the baby is born and i can't find time to do my hair!
Little jumper made from Heather Bailey and Amy Butler fabrics by Noragracedesigns
And this beautiful little purse made with Amy Butlers new Midwest Modern line! You can find it at the Melle Belle shop on etsy!
While looking for a few things to put in the baby's room, I fell in love with these little handmade felt patches. They are so detailed! I found them here on etsy, all the way from the UK. Although i think i might have snatched up the last few!
I used some fabric from the shoppe and covered a few artists canvases. Then ironed on these whimsical patches. They go perfectly above the crib! I also covered a wreath frame with feathers, and put that above the dresser! Nothing in the frame yet but i am sure to have a million pictures soon!
This set of baby items was with Anna Maria Chocolate Lolipop fabrics from the shoppe. You can find this gift set including a bib, pacifier pouch, and diaper clutch here in her store nicaubellekids!
These wonderfully covered pillows reside on one of my BF's couch. Christy has an eye for style and is always finding new ways to brighten her home. Whenever i go and visit her i am inspired to be more creative. She is so good at switching a few things around each season, so it always looks new and inviting!! A few 1/2 yards of Amy butler fabric and whal-laa...
I guess they call it nesting. But i have been getting really sick of some of the old decor in my apartment. Most of it I have had since i was in college. A lot of it is shabby chic, and i have been leaning more towards.... something different. I am not sure what they would call it. I ordered these two prints from Emily at the black apple. I can see why her artwork is so popular, i love the colors and the faces. I received them in the mail a few days ago, and the transformation started for this little corner of my living room. There are not a lot of choices in my small town for decor...an ikea would have been nice:) But i managed to find a new lampshade, a new owl (from Pier One) and i was almost done. I framed the two prints and then a piece of Amy Butler fabric (Geisha fans in Olive) from the shoppe! The rest of the stuff i aready had. I am happy with it! Hooray!!!
