Last weekend we took a little trip to the applefest. I love festivals, especially this one. The changing leaves made the winding drive beautiful. We arrived and the weather was crisp but the sun was out!
We stopped at their small town library "book sale" and picked up a few used books for 50 cents. What a deal. I got Suite Francaise by Irene Nemirovsky and New Moon by Stephanie Meyers. Then we wandered through all the vendors and crafts. It is so funny to see all the apple creations: apple pie, apple cheesecake, fried apples, apple beer, and apple tacos to name a few. We had the baby all bundled up and she looked so cozy in her new hat I made her.
I picked up some of my favorite honeycrisp apples! I am sad that they are here only in the fall and they are so expensive, they taste like candy! I am going to make some homemade applesause with them. I found a recipe that looks so delish!! I will post it later this week if it turns out well. It was a fun little family day!

Look how your little girl has grown! The first time I peeked over here she was a newborn. How time flies. Stop over at my blog when you get a sec. I have something for you.
