I am being inspired by these crochet items on pinterest today! I am a beginner crocheter and would love to make a retro-modern granny square afghan!

Oh the Granny Square. One of the first afghans I ever made back when I was about ten. You should have no problems and it sure uses up lots of bits and pieces of yard. I can't wait to see your finished blanket!

I love this fun, "new" style of crocheting...it's bright, groovy, and much more appealing to me than "normal" crocheting is. I've always seen crocheting as something that has a lot of potential but doesn't quite live up to it - here, I think that it's embracing how versatile it can be. Thanks for the post, I passed it on to my friends.

My nan tried to teach me to crochet when I was younger. I wish I had listened now I don't have her around to teach me! The stuff she made was amazing!

Love the Granny Square...but that's all I know how to do so far in crocheting.

Even your crochet reminds me of Spring. I will have to make a few of your designs.

That's Attic 24 - instantly recognisable! If you go to her web site there are many very good, step by step tutorials to make the same blankets as she has on her blog. There are gorgeous aren't they?
